Robin Moore, N.D.
Licensed Naturopathic Physician
MISSION STATEMENT
Welcome to Olympia Family Health the naturopathic practice of Robin Moore. I enjoy helping you with medical problems ranging from acute, simple problems to chronic complex problems. I am known for being thorough both diagnostically and with a range of treatment modalities. Although my priority is to teach you how to prevent health problems, realistically much of my time is spent treating existing problems while inserting preventative measures. I use both naturopathic treatment modalities as well as mainstream medical approaches, whichever is most efficacious for your needs. Health is not a spectator sport; your full participation is encouraged.
BIO
Dr Moore graduated in 1982 from what is now Bastyr University after getting a BA at Hampshire College, a small liberal arts school in Massachusetts. She enjoys the outdoors including sea kayaking, hiking and skiing and is a soccer referee. Much to her delight are her two grown sons Kyle and Casey.
NATUROPATHIC EDUCATION
Naturopathic medical schools involve four years of professional training for which pre-med studies are required. The training involves two years of basic sciences followed by two years of clinical sciences, similar in structure to conventional medical schools. The last two years of study also include clinical training in the schools’ outpatient clinics focusing on general and primary care practice. Rigorous licensure exams conclude the process.
INSURANCE
Naturopathic physicians are licensed physicians in the state of Washington and, as such, are covered by most medical insurance companies with the notable exception of Medicare. However, some Medicare Advantage plans do cover alternative medicine as do a few gap plans. Since your specific insurance plan may not include alternative medicine, call the number on the back of your insurance card to find out if you have coverage. Our office does not accept Aetna, Molina, United Healthcare, and the state’s Apple Insurance plans.
